Clients ask me a lot whether or not they, and their company, should be on social media sites. I have a few responses to that. One, your customers are on social media sites so it’s in your best interest to be as well. Second, you are already on social media whether you like it or not. What I mean by this is people are already talking about you on the social media sites with or without you so it’s a good idea to join in and have some control over the conversations out there. Third, social media sites like Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube all serve as search engines. Many people don’t think about this but people use these sites to make searches and find the information they are looking for.
